A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. {Matthew 5:14} We are the light to reach the lost, y'all. Here’s another way to put it: "You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—SHINE! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven." {The Message}

My goal for SHINE - and for YOU - is to Be The Light. To our friends, in our schools or workplaces, and yes, to the people that annoy us too. Not just in our words, but in our conduct. Let someone go before you in the checkout line, smile at a stranger, have real conversations with people {not just small talk or gossip}. Like I always pray, let them see You in me. Let's SHINE and reflect the Son. So that the lost see hope, love, grace, and forgiveness; so that the lost see Him. THIS tiny star is our reminder to SHINE like a lampstand. Like a city on a hill.
